"Palace" was founded in 2009 in Waterloo, a district in South East London. The photography was handled by Alasdair McLellan, who has been documenting British youth culture and following "Palace" for seven years.
The photo book consists of 164 pages, featuring 120 photos, text, and original graphics that chronicle the brand's history.
The 120 photos in this book were taken by McLellan long before Palace became widely known, and long before young people started lining up at the Soho shop on Saturdays.
It is a world-class and special work that symbolizes the street, fashion, and skate scene of London.

Photography: Alasdair McLellan. Born in 1986, his photographs have a playful and intimate atmosphere reminiscent of Bruce Weber. While he is widely active in commercials for maisons such as Louis Vuitton and Miu Miu, and in magazines such as i-D, he also personally produces works that focus on British culture and traditions, such as the youth of the North and the Royal Horse Guards.
