1991 Pre Mattel Samantha Pleasant Company American Girl Doll w Meet Outfit 1986

Original pre-Mattel (believe she is the much sought after 1991) Samantha is stamped Pleasant Company on the back of her neck, and is in beautiful condition (such a captivating facial expression!) She obviously has been well cared for over the years. She has the look of the white body Samantha dolls - very long, lighter brown hair and very squeezable vinyl. Her soft eyelashes appear to be all intact, and her GORGEOUS silky soft hair maintains original curl (and possibly has never had the elastic/ribbon removed). Eyes function normally, she can hold a pose, and is clean with no odors. She still has her original flat "ribbon" type strings (look like they have been trimmed a bit). Samantha is wearing her meet outfit - dress (tagged "Made in West Germany for Pleasant Company 1986"), matching hair ribbon, black ribbed tights, white bloomers (elastic in waist has disintegrated over the years) and Mary Jane shoes. Samantha has her bonnet and gold locket brooch - including pics.
